Getting to Know the Mayoral Candidates
As you may know, DC has a mayoral election coming up this fall, and the Post's Home section has been running a series about the candidates' homes. So, in April we learned that Vincent Orange likes to decorate in the color orange. In June, we learned that Marie Johns is not above baking a sour cream cinnamon coffee cake in a cynical effort to impress reporters. And, last month, we learned that Linda Cropp is a "Christmas fanatic," who still has her Christmas lights up from last year.
Today, we meet Adrian Fenty and his rather photogenic family:
I am not exactly sure what we are supposed to take from the fact that their house is decorated in "billowing gold and bronze silk taffeta draperies, toffee-colored textured walls and soft Tibetan rugs." But I was interested to learn that his parents own the Fleet Feet store in Adams Morgan where I have bought many a pair of running shoes. I'm definitely voting for him!
