What Happened To Britney?
I watched a few minutes of Matt Lauer's interview with Britney Spears on Dateline last night. Britney looked worse than I've seen her in years. In particular, her hair extensions were gnarly, she was chomping on gum the entire time, her eye makeup was running, and her boobs were so enormous they were inappropriately hanging out of her trashy shirt. It was BAD.
This picture doesn't do justice to just how very disgusting she looked and sounded last night. It does, however, show that Matt Lauer looks really funny in jeans.

I only watch a part of the show, but it seems like a train wreck. Her trailer park trash image is beginning to show. It was funny because I just finished watching the "Dukes of Hazzard" movie (in fast forward...thanks to the goodness of DVD). I could not help but notice many similarities between Britney and the stereotype Southern trademark. In her defense, I must say that she's just a reflection of our current state of society. Perhaps it's just me, but I'm awaring that lot of trailer park stereotypes have becoming mainstream. People are embracing them despite of their open snicker. For example, NASCAR, the most boring type of car race (just imagine if we have Tour de America racing in circle in a stadium), but is very popular, especially in the South. Lot of men are accepting the label Redneck proudly. They're openly embracing booze (booze = good time), gun (gun = defending freedom), big trucks/SUVs (Hemmi engine = more manliness), and good ol' Southern Christian style (God fearing = Devoted Christian). Their politicians are those current Republicans in the White House and Capitol Hill. Since Britney is having a 2nd child, is it also about "traditional family values"?
No, moogie, the thing to remember is that there are going to be tons of boo-boos. She's only human. Besides, her brother had a million accidents as a kid and had to be air-lifted to a hospital, so there.
About Matt: for all his reputation as a fashion plate, he does not do casual wear well. Those jeans are too high waisted and too light. I'm not saying he should be wearing those ridiculous skinny jeans, but something more modern please.
As for Britney, I didn't see the interview, but I agree that she looks terrible. I feel really sorry for her. She married someone who seems to be a complete asshole and she doesn't seem to have people around her whose judgment she can trust. For starters, someone to tell her how to dress when she's going to be on primetime TV.
But she's right, she's entitled to privacy. It must be overwhelming to be under that kind of scrutiny.
