Rule Finlandia
My feelings about hockey are summed up in the comments to this post. The thing I do love about hockey though is the Finnish names. Teemu Selanne is probably my favorite. But they're all great. Esa Tikkanen. Saku Koivu. Tragically, there's only one Finnish player on the two remaning teams -- Jussi Markkanen, the backup goalie for the Oilers.
Formula One racing used to be good on this front too because of the prominence of Mika Hakkinen.
As you may know, Finnish is not related to any other European languages, except Hungarian. Hence, the crazy-sounding names.

My favorite Finn was a hockey player for the Islanders when I was growing up: Miko Makela. He was great.
By the way, with Roloson's injury yesterday (Edmonton's starting goalie) you just got a little closer to seeing Jussi Markkanen in action (although he is their second backup).
Looking at the title of this post, I really suggest you see Spamalot. It is at the National Theatre through July 9.
Hi! Just want to say what a nice site. Bye, see you soon.
