Reading
the reviews of
A Prairie Home Companion, it occurred to me that I don't think I've ever heard an episode of the radio show, except in passing.

My only real exposure to Garrison Keillor was in his stint as Mr. Blue, an advice columnist for
Salon. As an advice column aficionado, I can confidently say that his was one of the best ever. He was empathetic, but he could be tough too, sometimes cutting to the heart of a matter in a way that seemed brutal. And his columns were funny and well-written. Unfortunately, he gave up the column in 2001 when he had heart surgery, only to be replaced by the dreaded Cary Tennis, who commits the unforgivable sin of
not answering the question.
