Paulie

YES THERE ARE SPOILERS ABOUT LAST NIGHT'S SOPRANOS EPISODE BUT I DON'T THINK THE TITLE OF THIS POST REVEALS ANYTHING.

Great to see an episode with so much focus on Mr. Wal-nuts. He was at his psychotic best last night. He is none too bright and none too reflective--the perfect antithesis of Tony. Seeing his picture as "reclycler of the year" and his discussion of the business of the sanitation industry were classic Paulie moments. And yet you actually felt for him when you compared his clipping coupons last week to what he had provided for his "Ma." Not that I am trying to justify his demented behavior, but you had to feel for him.

And a wee bit of fun with the wacko religious elements. (Where can I get a t-shirt saying "Terri Schivo--You Go Girl"?) Tony's questioning re Viagra was quite clever while Christopher's rejection of creationism (how Eden couldn't have been paradise if a TRex were chasing Adam and Eve around) was fantastic. At times like this, you realize how stupid most of the characters are (and understand why some became the bosses).

I also loved Hal Holbrook's character. Doubt we'll be seeing any more of him, but his discussions with the rappers (which was a plot development that originally had me worried) was fascinating.

In terms of the big picture, Tony can only remain in his new age state for so long b/c he can't take this crap from Johnny Sack. Vito is, I am confident, not long for this world with not only Finn but now Carmela onto him albeit in a few different but perhaps equally dangerous way. In fact, which is worse, his homosexuality or short changing the skip's wife? Until next week . . . .

I can't WAIT for Vito to get whacked. The guy's a terrible actor, and the character adds nothing to the show. I heard that the actor came up with the gay storyline himself just so he could get more screen time. >:O

I was hoping that when Tony was sitting by the pool at the end, the ducks would come back.
