That's What Happens . . .
. . . when you forget the lyrics to your song on American Idol. Silly Melissa McGhee. I was embarassed for her. And happy she didn't get enough sympathy votes to keep her in the Top 12. You know Ayla was sitting at home thinking that there was no way in hell she would have forgotten her lyrics! She's a star basketball player! An A student! It's her job never to make silly mistakes in life!
Besides, isn't there a teleprompter? It takes real genius to both forget the words + be unable to read the big screen in front of your face telling you exactly what to sing.
Ugh. And that goddamn Kevin Covais is still around.

What did you think of Chris's version of "Higher Ground"? I hated it, and totally did not get the praise it received from the judges.
Yeah, I was confused. I thought Katharine and Paris were the best. You?
I thought so too. I also, begrudgingly, liked Taylor.
Oh, I loved Taylor too. Not even begrudgingly.
Glad you're back.
I don't understand why they thought Chris was so original. He sang the Red Hot Chili Peppers' version of "Higher Ground." He was the LEAST original! I also kind of felt like he was cheating--like everyone else had to sing a Stevie Wonder song, and he sang a Red Hot Chili Peppers song. The latter is far easier.
How could Kevin sing "Part Time Lover"? It was awful--the song doesn't fit (of course) and his singing sounded really bad. Why do Paula and Randy continue to encourage this?
