Coming Soon to a Theater Near You?

The 1998 Spanish film Torrente, a dark comedy about a corrupt cop, was a huge hit in Spain and considered one of the funniest movies ever made there. (Don't know what the competition was--Francisco Franco, Still Dead?) There have been two sequels. See here and here. Just this week, New Line paid 2 young writers in Hollywood to write an American version of the movie. Why, you ask, is Isaac reporting about this. No, it's not simply my love of the Spanish cinema (or, for that matter, my love of jambon). It seems that one of those two young writers is Isaac's little brother.
