Friday Breakup
Continuing a long line of Friday break-up announcements, People is reporting the oh-so-sad news that Penelope Cruz and Matthew McConaughey, the adorable couple that brought us the sun and sand romantic adventure Sahara (am I the only one who saw that in the theater and enjoyed it for the piece of fluff it was?) are separating.

I saw it on an airplane and found it to be diverting. But, even more importantly, I've been to where it was filmed in Morocco.
So, am I to believe that Matthew McConaughey is secretly gay? That seems to be the subtext, but I'm not sure I buy it.
He's so hot! And he is an animal lover! His new dog Foxy is so cute!
Yeah, the Cruz rumors have been around for awhile, including whispers that she has been having an affair with good friend Selma Hayek, which I just don't buy--they seem like friends to me, not lovers. Then again, what do I know? The fact that she dated Cruise does make her a little more suspect, and one might also wonder whether, even if not gay herself, she is a professional beard for gay men (bolstering the McConaughey rumors).
